Studio & Commission Policy
Bespoke Commissions & Prototyping:Every garment produced by Elite Knitting is custom-engineered and hand-crafted to the specific requirements of the client. Because of the highly personalized nature of our consulting, sampling, and private commission services, all orders are strictly non-refundable and non-returnable.
Payment Terms & Delinquency:We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your project on our studio calendar and begin fiber sourcing or development. The remaining 50% balance, along with any applicable shipping fees, is due upon project completion and prior to final delivery. Outstanding balances not paid when due shall be assessed a flat five percent (5%) late fee every thirty (30) days the invoice remains delinquent.
Timelines & Handcraft Variations:True luxury handcraft takes time. While we provide estimated delivery windows during the consultation phase, timelines are subject to the complexity of the fiber architecture and the scope of revisions. Furthermore, because our pieces are intentionally crafted by human hands rather than machines, slight variations in tension or motif placement are natural characteristics of the work and are not considered defects.
Fittings & Adjustments:For private commissions, we guarantee the fit based on the exact measurements provided or taken during the consultation. If adjustments are required due to a change in the client’s measurements after the development phase has begun, additional alteration fees will apply.
Abandonment of Property:Elite Knitting operates a zero-waste studio with limited physical archive space. If a completed project or client-provided materials remain unclaimed, or if final payment is delinquent for more than sixty (60) business days, the project will be deemed abandoned. Elite Knitting reserves the right to alter the bailment terms, up to and including repurposing, donating, or responsibly recycling the materials.
Privacy & Confidentiality Policy
Runway & B2B Confidentiality:Elite Knitting frequently handles unreleased designs, proprietary concepts, and private thesis work. We operate under strict internal confidentiality standards. We will never share, publish, or claim credit for your development work before a collection officially debuts to the public. Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are welcomed and can be executed prior to the initial consultation.
Information We Collect:To provide our bespoke services, we collect necessary personal and business information, including:
Contact details (Name, email, phone number, shipping address).
Physical measurements and fit preferences (for private commissions).
Billing and commercial information.
How We Use Your Information:Your data is used exclusively to execute your project, communicate regarding your commissions, and process payments. Elite Knitting operates with absolute discretion; we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or business information to any third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Protection:We maintain secure, restricted access to our client archives. Measurements, proprietary tech packs, and billing information are stored securely and are only accessible to the core team members directly involved in your project.
Terms Of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms:By engaging Elite Knitting for consulting, prototyping, or bespoke commissions, you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms govern the entirety of the relationship between the client and the studio
2. Intellectual Property:
Commercial Development (B2B):For our B2B clients, the final physical garments and the specific design concepts remain the intellectual property of the client. Elite Knitting retains exclusive ownership of all underlying Background IP, including its proprietary hand-knitting techniques, structural stitch architectures, pattern-drafting methodologies, and technical engineering solutions developed to execute the piece, unless a full technical handover is explicitly purchased.
Private Commissions:Elite Knitting retains the copyright to all original designs, sketches, and bespoke patterns created for private clients by the studio.
3. Portfolio & Media Rights:Elite Knitting retains a perpetual, royalty-free, and irrevocable right to document, publish, and display full photographic depictions of the completed garments and our underlying technical craftsmanship across our proprietary portfolios, websites, and digital channels. For commercial B2B development, publication will occur subsequent to the client’s official public release. In the event a commercial piece is indefinitely unreleased, or for all private commissions, Elite Knitting reserves the right to publish anonymous behind-the-scenes (BTS) and final garment imagery, ensuring the client's identity and any proprietary branding remain strictly confidential.
4. Limitation of Liability:Elite Knitting is not liable for damages, delays, or lost packages once a garment has been handed over to a third-party courier. While we meticulously source the highest-quality fibers, we are not liable for how natural fibers age, stretch, or wear over time once they are in the client's possession.
5. Code of Conduct & Ethical Operations:As a member of the Nest Guild, our studio enforces a strict code of ethics regarding our artisan network. We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a project if a client’s requests or behavior violate our standards for fair treatment, professional respect, or realistic production timelines.
6. Governing Law:These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, and any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Texas.
